5 stages of challenging targets

Side matches to further challenge your shooting skills available after lunch ($5/ea).  

Lunch Option - Pulled Pork Sandwich, Baked Beans, Chips, Cookie & Drink ($12/person) - Must be indicated on Registration Form (no day of event sales)

  • Rifleman 9-11: .22 Only (need 2 rifles)
  • Desperado 9-11: .22 Rifle & Shotgun (need 2 rifles, 1 Shotgun)
  • Rimfire - Centerfire 12-19: 1 Rifle, 2 Pistols, 1 Shotgun
  • Side Matches $5/event (2 Events Max)
  • Costume Contest (Period Correct)
  • Top Gun Shoot Off Contest

 Firearms and ammunition rules and requirements.

  1. All ammunition is to be factory only no reloads. All ammunition will be checked. No copper plated or high velocity ammunition allowed.
  2. All firearms will comply with the 2019 nationals’ rules.
  • No short-stroked rifles or revolvers allowed (Winchester 9422- marlin 39a – browning bl22 . )
  • Only side by side –external hammered pump- levered and single shot break action with extractors or a ejector shotguns will be allowed, you may load only 2 shells at a time in any shotgun.
  • No modern style or types of rifles- shotgun or revolvers will be allowed. All firearms must be original or replicas of common production firearms from the 1860-1900 time period. If you can’t provide the documentation of original production from history, it cannot be used!
  • Only external hammered lever action or pump action 22 lr or center fire pistol caliber rifles will be allowed
  • Only single action 22lr or center fire pistol caliber revolver will be allowed.
  1. Colored or glowing sights on any firearm are not allowed. Black, silver, nickel, bronze, chrome or white front bead or blade and rear sight will be allowed.

Clothing rules and guidelines

  1. All clothing worn by competitors must meet the minimal guidelines of western attire, long pants or western styled skirt or dress, long sleeve button up shirt or blouse or pull over long john styled shirt. And some kind of period head cover; cowboy hat bowler sombreros, civil war type hat or bonnet. Leather boot or period shoe (pull on or lace up ) failure to meet these minimums may result in disqualification.
