Become an Adams County 4-H Member!
Youth who are eight years of age and have not reached their nineteenth birthday on or before December 31st of the 4-H year may enroll in 4-H clubs and groups as a traditional 4-H member.
How to Join
The first step in becoming a 4-H member is to choose a club that is right for you. Contact a local 4-H Club Leader to see if there is room in an existing club near you. If not, several young people with an adult or two to help them may start a new club.

4-H Projects
Find the project that is right for you. There are over 60 different projects divided into more than 225 divisions. These divisions range from arts and crafts, photography, model rocketry, foods, clothing, gardening, wildlife, woodworking, to dog obedience, small animals, horses and livestock. Project costs vary. A member enrolled in crafts might use supplies and equipment from around the house to practice skills they are learning and incur no additional expenses. Members who buy and keep a horse may invest hundreds of dollars. Discuss cost as you select your project. It should be realistic to the family situation.
Enroll
Enrolling your child with the 4-H Office in Adams County completes the membership process. The 4-H program is offered at a very nominal annual fee (sponsored in 2023-2024) by Colorado State University Extension in Adams County. Enrollments for new members are due by April 1st. Existing Members must turn in enrollments by February 1st.
